The Heartland Distance Summit is a coaching clinic for, but not limited to, high school distance coaches that want to achieve a higher level of success. The goal of the Heartland Distance Summit is to bring some of the nation's top high school distance coaches to the middle of the nation to cultivate an environment of higher learning.

The Heartland Distance Summit is the culmination of a shared dream of four Kansas City area distance coaches that want to do more to help the high school distance running scene in the middle of the nation and beyond. The event is primarily sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Cross Country Coaches Association, Garmin Clipboard and Fleet Feet.
